OUR MISSION:

Life Skills International and its affiliates are a 501c(3) not for profit educational organization that is dedicated to giving individuals the information and support necessary to break free from destructive and malignant behavior patterns. With the client, we uncover the root causes of their behavior and assist in developing basic character traits that will establish healthy foundations for living and loving.

OUR PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Our purpose is to meet the deep needs of individuals and families in our community. These needs include spiritual, social, and psychological dimensions.

INDIVIDUALS:

As the individual learns the reasons behind certain behaviors, self-esteem will grow. Abusive behavior is recognized and the client, with the help of a trained facilitator, develops a plan to control actions. Victims will learn that they can say "No" to abuse. They will learn that since they have value, they can set healthy boundaries in their relationships. They will develop a protection plan during class which will provide options and a course of action if she needs to escape.

FAMILIES:

As the individual heals, they will break the cycle of generational dysfunction. They will take what they have learned to their families and relationships.

COMMUNITY:

New dimension and hope for the hurting carries into the community as those who have been restored carry the hope to others. The Life Skills Center is recognized as a lighthouse that offers hope and help to all that come for help.
